Early Beginnings
Siddhik began his chess journey at just 10 years old. Driven by curiosity, he engaged in numerous national-level tournaments across India, achieving a notable FIDE rating of 1595. This positioned him as a strong competitor on the chess circuit. His competitive spirit propelled him to refine his skills, learning valuable lessons from each match.
However, balancing his passion for chess with family responsibilities and academic pursuits became increasingly challenging over time. To maintain focus on his education and family, Siddhik felt he had to shift his priorities away from constant competition.
The Shift to Coaching
In 2016, Siddhik made a life-changing decision to enter the world of coaching. His motivation stemmed from a deep satisfaction in watching children grow, from shy beginners to confident players ready to take on challenges.
Initially, he faced hurdles; some students struggled with basic concepts, while others exhibited varying levels of interest. Yet, with patience and encouragement, he witnessed remarkable transformations. One example is a young girl named Narayani, who, after just nine months of coaching, progressed from learning the opening variations, chess tactics to winning the tournaments at State and National level (U-7 Girls category in 2023)

Siddhik's journey as a coach reinforced his belief that building confidence is just as crucial as teaching strategies.
The Impact of Online Learning
The pandemic catalyzed a major shift in education, and Siddhik swiftly embraced online teaching. By leveraging digital platforms, he connected with students across India—offering lessons not only in bustling cities like Mumbai but also in remote regions where chess resources were scarce.
This online approach attracted parents with children living abroad who sought authentic chess training. For example, Siddhik successfully coached a students guiding them through a chess tournament that saw them finish in the top league.
Building a Legacy
Desde the beginning of his coaching career, Siddhik focused on creating an engaging and supportive environment. His recognition of individual student styles allowed him to customize his coaching methods, enhancing the learning experience for everyone involved. This approach proved effective, as students began excelling in local tournaments, some even placing in the top three positions.
In just a year, his students achieved impressive results, validating Siddhik's commitment to fostering personal growth and resilience.
The Journey Continues
To date, Siddhik has trained over 500 students at various skill levels, embodying what it means to be a mentor in the chess community. His enthusiasm continually drives him to inspire future champions.
Looking ahead, Siddhik plans to expand his impact by training a team of coaches to carry on his vision of creating a structured chess program. These coaches will continue to share knowledge and nurture budding talents, ensuring that the legacy of growth and development continues.

Hiya Shah - Silver medalist at the Commonwealth Chess Championship under 8 Girls.
Narayani Marathe - Stood 2nd at the Maharashtra State Chess Championship under 7 Girls (2023), Champion at the National Chess Championship under 7 Girls. Narayani continued her advance training and won two Gold medals at the Asian Championship in 2024.
Darshvi Rai - Champion at the Karnataka State Chess Championship under 7 Girls (2024), and Winner at the Karnataka Chess School Championship 2024. She will be representing India in the Asian Championship, Thailand in Dec 2024.
Arjun Pathak - Secured 3rd place at the Texas State Scholastic Chess Championship U700 (2023).
Sneha Waykar - Gold medallist in Chessboxing Nationals 2024 (both chessboxing main and light categories) and Winner of the Chessboxing match at Olympiad Culture, Paris (July 23, 2024). Sneha became the first female IFC Crown champion at the Cultural Olympiad hosted by the Paris Olympics. In the recently held Chessboxing World Championships, Armenia she won Silver medals in both the Chessboxing Main and Light weight categories.
